    Is my signature uploaded anywhere when I use this tool?

    No. Your signature image is processed locally using the Canvas API in your browser. It never leaves your device.

    How does this work?

    It treats pixels close to white as background and makes them transparent, leaving only the darker ink strokes visible. This works well for a signature written in dark ink on plain white paper, scanned or photographed with even lighting.

    What if the background isn't perfectly white?

    Use the sensitivity slider. A higher threshold removes more of an off-white or slightly shadowed background, but may also start removing lighter parts of the signature itself, so adjust it while watching the live preview.

    Does this work for colored ink like blue pen?

    Yes, since the tool targets light/white background pixels specifically rather than any particular ink color, though very light-colored ink may also get partially removed at high sensitivity.
