    Is my image uploaded anywhere when I compress it?

    No. Compression happens locally using the Canvas API in your browser. The image never leaves your device.

    Which image formats can I compress?

    JPG, PNG and WEBP are supported. You can also choose to export the compressed result as JPG or WEBP regardless of the original format.

    Why doesn't the quality slider change PNG file size much?

    PNG is lossless, so quality mainly affects JPG and WEBP output. For maximum PNG size reduction, export as JPG or WEBP instead.

    Will compressing reduce the image dimensions?

    No, dimensions stay the same. Only the file size changes based on the quality you choose. Use the Resize Image tool if you also want smaller dimensions.
