FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Is my PDF uploaded anywhere?
No. Your file is reordered entirely inside your browser using pdf-lib — it never leaves your device.
How does booklet printing work?
Each physical sheet of paper holds 2 pages per side (4 pages total per sheet). When the stack of printed sheets is folded in half, the pages need to be in a specific non-sequential order so they read correctly once folded. This tool reorders your PDF into that order.
What page count works best?
A multiple of 4 pages folds most cleanly. If your PDF isn't a multiple of 4, this tool automatically adds blank pages at the end to round up, so the booklet still folds correctly.
Do I still need special printer settings?
Yes — after downloading, print the result 2-sided with your printer's "flip on short edge" (or equivalent duplex) setting, and 2 pages per sheet if your print dialog offers that layout option. The exact wording varies by printer.
