    How to use this tool

    1. Drag and drop an image into the box above, or click to browse and select one.
    2. Turn on the alignment grid (on by default) and drag the Angle slider until the horizon or a straight edge lines up with one of the grid lines.
    3. Check the live preview — the image rotates and automatically zooms in slightly so no empty corners are visible. The grid overlay is only a guide and is never included in the exported image.
    4. Click Download image to save the straightened result.

    Frequently asked questions

    Is my image uploaded anywhere when I straighten it?

    No. The image is rotated locally in your browser using the Canvas API. It never leaves your device.

    How is this different from Rotate & Flip Image?

    That tool rotates in fixed 90° steps for turning a sideways photo the right way up. This tool rotates by any small precise angle, like 2.5°, to fix a tilted horizon or crooked scan.

    Why does the image get cropped or zoomed in slightly?

    Rotating by a non-90° angle would otherwise leave transparent triangular gaps at the corners. This tool automatically scales the image up slightly so the rotated result still fully fills the frame with no gaps.

    Can I straighten by a very large angle?

    The slider goes from -45° to 45°, which covers virtually any accidental tilt. For a full 90° or 180° turn, use Rotate & Flip Image instead.
