Basic Calculator

A full-keypad online calculator — arithmetic, percentages, powers, roots, factorial and trigonometry (in degrees or radians), with live results as you type.

Calculate

Tap the keypad or type on your keyboard — the result updates live, and = saves it to your history.

What this calculator can do

Arithmetic
+, −, ×, ÷, parentheses, and % (percent = value ÷ 100)
Powers & roots
xy (power), √ (square root), x² via Inv, x! (factorial)
Trigonometry
sin, cos, tan — switch Deg/Rad, or use Inv for sin⁻¹, cos⁻¹, tan⁻¹
Logarithms
ln (natural log) and log (base 10) — use Inv for eˣ and 10ˣ
Constants & memory
π, e, EXP (scientific notation), and Ans (your last result)
Example: sin(30) = 0.5 in Deg mode · (2+3)^2 = 25

How to use this calculator

  1. Tap number and operator keys, or type directly on your keyboard — the display updates live as you build your expression.
  2. Press = (or Enter) to get the final result and save it to history.
  3. Use Deg/Rad for trigonometry, and Inv to access inverse functions like sin⁻¹ or eˣ.
  4. Tap the clock icon to reopen a past calculation, or press AC to start over.

Frequently asked questions

What operations does this calculator support?

Addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, parentheses, powers (x^y), square root, factorial, natural and base-10 logarithms, and sine, cosine and tangent in degrees or radians — plus their inverse functions via the Inv key.

What happens if I divide by zero?

Division by zero is undefined, so the calculator shows "Error" instead of an invalid result.

How do I switch between degrees and radians?

Tap Deg or Rad at the top-left of the keypad. This affects sin, cos, tan and their inverse functions.

What does the Inv key do?

It switches sin/cos/tan to their inverse (sin⁻¹/cos⁻¹/tan⁻¹), ln to eˣ, log to 10ˣ, and √ to x².

Does it remember my past calculations?

Yes — tap the clock icon to see your recent calculations, saved locally in your browser. Use Ans to reuse your last result in a new expression.
